March 25 and 28 — Natalka’s Polovynka Maysternya pisni

Concerts of Lviv art centre Maysternya pisni took place in Kyiv Actor’s House (a project ‘Po Rozhestvu. Slovo i holos. Mova Rizdva’) and in Vinnytsya catholic church of Madonna (a project ‘Raduysia’).
'Po Rozhestvu' — it is an annual innovative project where an after sound of Christmas is embodied in different forms. The music of the project always reflects the time. This year the music basis has been the text which penetrates all winter holidays from the past till nowadays with kolyada, mutual addressing, appealing to the God and to all living. The lyrics of ancient kolyadky and shchedrivky songs, modern form of singing and ascetic video background creates the language of Christmas carrying the secret of life appearance, taste of the source we all came from and to which we return again and again. This languages calls our unique person inside each of us, wakes up the memories of our sacred things and the sense of the Holiday. A slow peering into silence of the Existence is the Word of Christmas. The project was presented in the Kyiv House of Actor.
‘Raduysia’ from an IPMOC project is a performance of old spiritual chants to Madonna found in the manuscripts and old Ukrainian prints which dates back to XVII-XIX centuries. In fact it is a spiritual practice made in the modern social and cultural environment realized in modern art forms, the purpose of which is renewal of the word, cure of the personal territory of serving and art, new artistic perception of the law, of the canon.
