June 5 and 8 —Port Mone trio hels a presentation of the festival ArtPole'2010
A new instrumental trio Port Mone, founded in 2005 in Minsk, was immediately spotted by musical critics. “An album of this Belarusian trio I’d love to have in my library of recordings – stated Artemiy Troitskiy – Author’s and composer’s idea of this band is very qualitative as opposed to the main quantity of modern improvisational accordion music, including jazz and swing”.
The juries and audiences of numerous festivals such as the Polish Muzyczne Smaki Europy, Russian S.K.I.F. and Pustye Kholmy, Lithuanian Kultflux and International Teheran festival of puppet theatres Mobarak, also appreciated much the Port Mone. Their music pulverizes people different in age, status and music tastes, with its spontaneous sincerity. Audience of Port Mone can feel the beauty and pain of the surrounding world, its and ours reflections, interactions, mutual impacts and dependencies.
The band became one of the brightest and most profound impressions of the ArtPole’2009 so it was no surprise that it held a presentation of the next festival edition. During the presentations which were conducted in Odessa club EXIT and Kyiv Actor’s House, Port Mone played not only tracks from the album “DiP” but also some new compositions. Video space was provided by an art studio “Antersolya”.
